hi i am not prepared to put up with cytanets lack of care and response to my ongoing problems with my router, so i am switching to another, just wondered if any of you out there has had good/bad experiences with any of the others,?

I was told by an expert (USA) that Internet speed is to be doubled every two years as per regulations. Did not bother to confirm that.

Cytanet or other broadband providers are not doing us any favors, they simply comply with international regulations.

Problems with routers are not always bad service from the broadband provider. I would check for the latest firmware and update the router. New firmware address compatibility issues when providers upscale their services & equipment. Just make sure the problem is not on your end.

thanks for the reply, unfortunately i am really not that savy with techy stuff,
i have a thompson speedtouch 585v6 and i have no idea where to find updates? i have tried thompson site but i can not find.
if you have the same router and you know ware to find the update web page, i would be extremely grateful.

i bought my own router with cytanet, there is no garantee the routers from any other isp will be any better
