I was told by an expert (USA) that Internet speed is to be doubled every two years as per regulations. Did not bother to confirm that.

Cytanet or other broadband providers are not doing us any favors, they simply comply with international regulations.

Problems with routers are not always bad service from the broadband provider. I would check for the latest firmware and update the router. New firmware address compatibility issues when providers upscale their services & equipment. Just make sure the problem is not on your end.

hi georgios

thanks for the reply, unfortunately i am really not that savy with techy stuff,
i have a thompson speedtouch 585v6 and i have no idea where to find updates? i have tried thompson site but i can not find.
if you have the same router and you know ware to find the update web page, i would be extremely grateful.

regards

kay

The latest filmware is 8.2.2.5 (585 v6). I uploaded the file on yousendit server.

link http://rcpt.yousendit.com/825520057/ea6 ... bc78836aed

Download, extract with WinRaR and install. See manual as to "how to install" depending on your operating system (Windows, Linux etc)

Hope this helps.
