Hey guys i have a question concerning "Lock stock and 2 smoking barels". At the part that the black dude gets angry with Nick the greek is he cursing at him in a Cypriot dialect. It might be me but i think he says smthing like "Shilo pezevegki".

Im sorry for going of topic but this thread was allready doomed

Yes he does...

and the actor (Vas Blackwood I think his name) went to school in Alexandra Palace (very Cypriot area back then) and was bound to pic up some Greek being born and bred in that area. Infact, he could speak better Greek than the character who was named 'Nick the Greek' in that film. Blackwood was the same actor was also in a comdey show in the 80's called the Lenny Henry Show and was often called a Malaka by Mike, the owner of the BBC radio station (Brixton Broadcasting Corporation :D )

By the way, I HATE Guy Ritchie films...they do not represent real London at all and try to make out we are all cockneys which we aint. Guy Ritchie is a 'mockney' (a fake cockney) and his films are all kinda the same.

Look at Lock Stock, he got a fat bloke and greased his hair back and that was good enough to make him Greek. He didnt look Greek AT ALL!

Oh ok so that explains everything.
So you didnt like two smoking barels? That film is my favorite english movie together with Snatch. I personally love the way that english humor is mixed into these movies. I love english humor far more than the American. Are there any good english production movies that you would recommend Source??

I heard Shaun of the Dead is a good film...never seen it though.

I think my favourite English film is Holiday on the Buses lol.

Was 'Escape to Victory' British? Easily Stallone's best film. Only problem with it was that there were no Arsenal players.

Shaun of the dead is a very funny movie. It was shot 5 minutes from where I used to live, so recognised most of the areas in the film.

Lock Stock and Snatch are great movies and so is Holiday on the Buses (BRILLIANT Series that got turned into a movie).
