Are people still that bigotted and homophobic in 2010? We are in the 21st century I thought, well most of us are, some have got some catching up to do.

Dislike him cause he talks crap or just not a nice person but to dislike because of race or being gay makes him streets above your comments imo

I agree Milo, my posts on this thread relate only to my opinion that Stephen Fry is over-rated by some people with respect to his professional activities (acting, presenting, writing, debating). His sexual orientation and/or race make no difference to my opinions. I don't particularly dislike him - I just think he is mediocre and over-rated in his professional life, and certainly is not 'one of the great intellectuals of the 21st century'.
