If no solution is found... what's next?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

And I am not responsible for what other countries print in their news about Cyprus. But it is obvious from a quick google that quite a lot of other countries are saying stuff along the same lines.

Cypriots seem to imagine the rest of the world should be interested. Then, when there is any mention of the problem (unless it is condemning Turkey which it isn't very often) they just dismiss it!

The rest of the world doesn't give a shit. They do have to abide by the law and, thankfully, the law is on the side of the Cypriots free of Turkey's tyranny.

When these talks fail why should anyone in their right mins even think about a restart of talks if after nearly two years of talks nothing has transpired what's left to talk about? Forget it it will be obvious to the world that no amount of talks between Cypriots will produce a solution no more talks this is the last time

As I've said before-fore, law-law is better than jaw-jaw.

We can talk about the weather if you like. Are those dark clouds I see on the horizon in the north?

The Anatolians may flood back to their motherland if there's no jobs on the island. Better to be poor at home than on land that doesn't belong to you.

It will be a 'lose-lose' situation for all the Cypriots....

Postby cymart » Fri Feb 26, 2010 11:39 pm

Except a few greedy lawyers and die-hard nationalists on both sides, the present economic and social problems will deteriorate and more and more Cypriots will go abroad in hope of a better future on both sides of the dividing line! The worse-case scenario will become reality......
Let's try to dwell on the optimstic one instead, while there is still time?
