why would that happen? how many people do you know that still want Enosis? especially with greece :P

it wouldent.. but thats the argument from vp. no trust for us not to kill them, that we would kill them as soon as they leave.

greece and italy are recognised worldwide.. is the trnc? would the trnc flood with turks if they let them in the eu and turkey not? they cant stand on their own two feet without turkey pumping milliong per year and not while they ignore all eu and un laws and so many other factors that would not give trnc a chance in a trillion years, there is more chance for it to rain money then that to happen...

when we re unite the tcs will enjoy the eu benefits .. as they do now anyway they just come and take id cards and passports with no problems. your dreaming if you think that will happen

the same kind of idiots belong in both sides!!! plz you have to agree on that... does that mean we should empower them? fear them? no they would be isolated by the majority... they would not control the state like in those troubled times

I expected a bit more understanding from you. The reason for the weak TRNC economy is 35 years of embargo. Everything else is caused by that. Italy's government has always been run by the mafia and Greece are the worst evaders of tax. So really there is not that much difference between them.

VP is right on that, it only takes a few idiots- hence why I support the Turkish troops being withdrawn SLOWLY. Also a good mixed militia, either police or a new infantry. Let's not forget that (a) we have a lot of shotguns and (b) both EOKA and TMT managed to get hold of guns.

YFred, I honestly don't want to get into an argument with you because you have very strong, inflexible ideas and it will degenerate into an argument- you don't want to see a middle ground. Don't take it the wrong way, there's 'GC' forum members of the same style. Sorry dude. All I was saying is that red line should have been traced out earlier, and as far as the RoC is concerned, it wasnt a red line 60 yrs ago because we werent mature enough as a country to let go of Greece's apron strings and we hadn't been invaded by the Turkish army. Again, don't jump down my throat- whether it was right or wrong is irrelevant to what I'm trying to say, but the fact is 99.9 % of GC would not want Turkey to have the right to unilateral intervention in any solution.
