I was just reading this report, & saw that the items were 73 shot gun cartridges, a knife etc, but no mention of the shot gun!.. I suppose he was going to throw the cartridges!!!!!!!!! sorry thought it was funny.

he is only smuggler not to worry . he was smuggling shot gun cartridges and some hunting materials. not unusual these kind of the things on the boarders. almost everyday they catches smugglers. from one way to another way. organised activities of both side.

The guy says he forgot them in his car. Knowing from past experience, it is very common to find this kind of stuff in the boot of a hunter. I always used to have cartridges in the car. 75 cartridges is worth something around 15 euros, not worth smuggling. Just any excuse to to collect some petty fine.

Yes I am fully aware that 1/3 of the Cypriot population have hunting licenses.

I just saw a funny side in the story. You obviously thought I was taking a snipe!!! which was not my Intention.

I don't think he was getting at you, but we do like to see where a story has come from and not just someone's oblique reference to it!

I don't think he was getting at you, but we do like to see where a story has come from and not just someone's oblique reference to it!

Now listen here bugsy, shame our DT is not so conscientious when he accuse innocent people with total fabrications of his imagination. At least he should offer links to his imaginary world, what? Unfortunately he is also imaginationally challenged.

I just assumed because the story was on the news paper snippets at the bottom of the main page on the forum that most people would have read them. :roll:
