The Greek Cypriot Side has struck another blow to the Cyprus negotiation process.

The Greek Cypriot House of Representatives has unanimously approved a resolution that rejects guarantorship in Cyprus.

Another disrupting move came from the Greek Cypriot Side which constantly aims to dilute the rights of guarantorship and unilateral intervention on the negotiation table.

The Greek Cypriot resolution argues that guarantorship rights, which were granted during the establishment of the independent Republic of Cyprus in 1960, are unacceptable.

The Greek Cypriot AKEL party had earlier asked for the postponement of today’s approval session but its request was turned down.

The resolution was approved as it was, although a long dispute was made on possible amendments.

Turkey has abused her right as a guarantour. So why should they have any right for intervention when an agreement is reached.

Look what they have done to our country split in two and hold the GC's to ransom. Turkey have no right to be in Cyprus and if you dont like that then piss of with the turks.

The GCs have done it again...the only road left is status quo and a relaxation of isolation on the TRNC leading to recognition and return of refugee rights.
