The Turkish National Security Council was quick to condemn the Greek Cypriot Administration for the resolution it adopted concerning guarantor rights in Cyprus. The Council said such attacks by the Greek Cypriot Side on Turkey’s guarantor rights as well as the rights of the TC's which were the equal partners on the island, damaged efforts to reach a lasting solution on the island.

The Turkish National Security Council also stressed that the TC will not remain the victims of a non-solution in Cyprus forever.

A statement issued at the end of yesterday’s Security Council’s meeting which lasted for nearly 4.5 hours underlined that a fair and lasting solution is the only remedy on the island.

It also stressed that the recent report of the European Parliament had done nothing but damage the nature of the ongoing solution process, ignored United Nations parametres, the realities on the island and has hindered efforts to find a fair and lasting solution in Cyprus.

Whoever comes to Cyprus and tries to get involved with the problem here gets slagged-off sooner or later by one side or the other! They are always moaning that nobody does enough to help and only want to hear their own side of the story-perhaps they should be left to stew in their own juice while the world gets on with other more urgent matters?

Nothing to do with right or wrong, but who pays the most and who has the higher vested interest.

Anann failed big time, infact he should have indicted.

Downer has lost credibility not just with the GCs but world wide. Since he was exposed as double dipping with his Turkish company connections he was finished.

We won't be signing any agreement where Guarantees are a pre-requisit. read my sig,

Big reaction From TC's political Parties against the GC decision ! Are we going to for division .......... is it going to be end of the talks... What part of the plan this .....

Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu has said that the Greek Cypriot Side is aiming to sabotage the negotiations process with the resolution.

Republican Turkish Party Unity Forces Ferdi Sabit Soyer for his part described the resolution as nothing more than an ill intended move.He said that with the adoption of the resolution, the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives, which had usurped the so-called Cyprus Republic and its constitution in 1963, had demonstrated by itself that it was not a legitimate administration.
The CTP leader also said that the resolution was in violation of the constitution of the so-called Republic of Cyprus.

Democrat Party leader Serdar Denktas, evaluated the Greek Cypriot decision as bringing and end to the Cyprus talks and had removed all bases for the negotiations. He expressed his view that President Mehmet Ali Talat should leave the negotiating table immediately.
Pointing out that the Democrat Party had presented the Republic’s Assembly with a motion calling for the suspension of the negotiations till the TRNC Presidential elections in April, the DP leader announced the DP’s plans to amend the motion for the immediate suspension of the talks.

Denktas said that there had been nothing left to discuss at the negotiating table.
“Both the ruling on the Orams Case and the Greek Cypriot resolution on the issue of Guarantees has rendered the talks useless. There is not point to continue negotiating”

The GCs have done it again...the only road left is status quo and a relaxation of isolation on the TRNC leading to recognition and return of refugee rights.

roads for talks are narrowing every passing hour. not much left for the election.TC public watching very carefully every move of the Greek side. Reactions came out as soon it is herd. All political parties and public thinks same as political parties. It was the only subject in north today. Trust to Christofias goes down and down everyday from TC's.

Before the last GC desicion on their parliment they Christofias has been warned.

Halil now its time for the big nations to move after yet another move from the GC side clearly showing they are not interested in a solution.
