Please can anyone give me a translation of the song HALALIN TOU in English. I am learning to sing it, and I would love to know what I am singing about ! I hope no-one replies `Well learn Greek then`as I am trying to do just that, but finding it very difficult.

Here you go, MARGO! :D

That small pitiful thing :?
Blah blah .... the eyes,
In the blah blah they shine,
They're worth palaces.

And for the heart
And your embrace
For the sake of God
You are welcome to everything.

For the heart
And your embrace
For the sake of God
You are welcome to everything.

Blah blah... your eyes,
The bees they resemble,
As they sting in one,
In the other they drip honey.

For the heart
And your embrace
But for the sake of God
You are welcome to everything.

(Repeat)

Course you can Bill! As long as it is in a gassy = talks too much way, and not in any other 'gas' associated way!

Many thanks for all your replies. I now have the words written phonetically, and an English translation, of this song and several others that we are learning to sing, also a link to listen to Mihalis Violaris, so I can hear how it should be sung. Absolutely brilliant, Thanks again folks !
( And what a good website! )
