Thats not quite truthful, Imovable property is just that, anyway this is all academic, until the case goes to court and is proved one way or the other, which as I understand is still a while off.

really?...just wondering what the venetians have to say about this...what do you think they will come up with?...after all they left heaps behind...

a few posts above you said the venetians treated the cypriots as serfs, would that be an acknowledgement the venetians owned the whole lot?...

as far as a court case goes, you got no hope of ever seeing daylight...the new sheriff in town did what she wanted, simple as that...the otto mentality died the day the ottos went the dodo way...

the venetians did indeed own the lot as GC were not allowed to own land untill the time of the ottomans, did you guys know that?

But if I am correct immovable property as an international law did not exist back then.. but it did before the end of the ottoman empire... Not sure about this.

however if you want to play the winner takes all game, then 37% of the island has been taken by the Winner no? that does not change the fact that those individuals that own land, still own the land, no?

same with the Vakif foundation.
