Why should any country be a “military free zone” (whatever the hell that means) while everyone else around them is arming up and stockpiling?

Some of you seem to assume that there’s such a thing as “military free zones” on this planet! Where do you get that shit from? :?

Costa Rica hasn't had an army since 1949. :D

Countries with absolutely no military forces.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_without_armed_forces

The term "country" is used in the sense of independent state; thus, it applies only to sovereign states and not dependencies (i.e., Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Bermuda), whose defense is the responsibility of another country or an army alternative. The term "armed forces" refers to any government-sponsored defense used to further the domestic and foreign policies of their respective government. Some of the countries listed, such as Iceland and Monaco, have no armies, but still have a non-police military force blah blah -

What a lovely group of insignificant tossings who either…

1. Can’t afford to have a military because they sell hula-hoops.
2. Is a protectorate of some other giant like the US.
3. Has had its military overthrown by the US.
4. Is isolated in the middle of the pacific!

The only surprise there is Costa Rica! I wonder if Turkey wants to join this wonderful list… I mean their level of education is on par with all these islanders!
