No guarantees and no guarantors for the RoC.

its obvious apc you have never lived in that part of the world....one of the flaws of the Annan plan was that it was thought up by people living in the nordic part of europe, the same that gave the israelis and palestinians their annan plan in 1994...circa...

No it isn’t! TCs are NOT a country to be in a position make such decisions. The official national guarantor is the CNG whether you like it or not.

GR, we cannot have the CNG; we must have a name change: CNA - Cyprus National Army. In many TCs eyes, the CNG has negative connotations.

Problem is, if you “can’t” have the country’s very own military guard, and you “can’t” have the country’s very own ancient inheritance because you don’t like it, and you “can’t” have the country’s very own people because you can’t stand them, you “can’t” have the country’s very own predominant language because you don’t know it, and you “can’t” have the country’s very own…. etc, etc

THEN WHAT THE DAMN FUCK ARE YOU TURKISH ALIENS DOING IN CYPRUS ANYWAY???

Have you quite finished. You rant like a fake wrestler on WWF  Mind you dont burst a blood vessel GR.

You always seem to let loose like that when a 'reasonable' point is put to you. You once claimed you were the master debater. I think you mispelt it.

What the TCs want is a Cyprus that isn’t Cyprus but a refashioned NEW entity somewhat Turkic, somewhat Ottoman, somewhat God knows what …, but it’s NOT going to happen because once the EU slowly but surely nudges Turkey out of Cyprus, the TCs on their own will capitulate to European authority.

That is a more reasonable point with which I cannot disagree with.
To that end lets hope the EU and other 'GREAT' powers use effective methods of pursuasion to get Turkey out.

It can and the chances are it will if these negotiations succeed. It will be a TC red line which hither to has been kept under the magic carpet on acount that Muhtar X is going to suggest it so it looks like it is his idea.

Why should any country be a “military free zone” (whatever the hell that means) while everyone else around them is arming up and stockpiling?

Some of you seem to assume that there’s such a thing as “military free zones” on this planet! Where do you get that shit from? :?

Because, let's be serious, what damage is CNG going to inflict, and on who?

So totally disarming them to make it even easier for an invader is the solution???

Remove the deterrent and all of a sudden everyone will respect your territorial integrity???

Man, you must’ve come straight out the Turkish academy…
