i dont agree with them, i think we dont need them in cyprus but ultimately i would accept them personally if it would make some tcs feel more comfortable because i know they would never need to be used.

maybe even agree to the garantee for X amount of years maybe 10 or 20

but idealy i would rather no garante power in cyprus they are really not needed.

Thank you thats what we need to hear i agree there can be an expiry date because if nothing happens then it will not be required.
maybe even agree to the garantee for X amount of years maybe 10 or 20

:) thats good, compromise from both sides just to ensure the security of both sides to put our minds to rest.

with an expiry date to the garantee wE both are happy and get what we want, you have your safety and after time we have no Garantores in cyprus after your happy with how things are going in cy.

the only foreign guarantees that i believe would be acceptable to the ROC is for a joint euro/nato force for a set period of time with greek/turkish/cypriot(g/c and t/c)participation.

This is theonly way we can agree a solution just saying No gets us nowhere

true, we both have to make compromises, we might not always like it but if we are to have a solution to the cy problem thsi is what needs to be done, i agree. saying no al the time will get us both ( gc and tcs ) nowhere
