No guarantees and no guarantors for the RoC.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TRNC parliament opened a special session today about GC's last resolution ....while parliament discussion goes on public reactiones are growing rapidly. What is accepted from parliament is to declare counter resolution against GC's house of commons representatives. In few days we will hear the TRNC resolution too.

here is the reaction of the 22 civil society.
Reactions to the resolution adopted by the Greek Cypriot House of Representatives on the issue of Guarantor rights are growing. A group of 22 civil society organizations, calling themselves ‘The Alliance of Independence’ has said that a settlement in Cyprus had become impossible with the Greek Cypriot Side’s resolution denouncing Guarantor rights in Cyprus.

The Alliance called on the Republic’s Assembly to take a decision calling for the international recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The Spokesperson for the Alliance Hasan Yilmaz Isik reminded that the 1960 Republic of Cyprus was founded on the basis of the 1960 London and Zurich agreements.
He said that these agreements were based on the “interests and guarantees” of the parties involved, that being the three guarantor powers in Cyprus.

Yılmaz Işık called the resolution as a political decision, which rejects the guarantorship rights of Turkey and other guarantor countries.
“The Greek Cypriot Side has openly declared its opposition to any form of partnership with the Turkish Side and its support for a separate homogenous Hellenic state” he added.

The Spokesperson also argued that the resolution has dashed all possibilities for a settlement in Cyprus and that the next rightful and logical step would be to pursue the international recognition of the TRNC.
He also said that a settlement without Turkey’s effective guarantees was out of the question.

tsk tsk....the masks are off. You've picked the wrong subject to throw your toys out of the pram. There will be no sympathy from anyone for guarantees to be in place on an EU member state.

Nobody is forcing you to have them. We'll make our own choices, thanks.

Fantastic idea. You are going to get the GC NG to guarantee the TCs? Do you have any other jokes in your armoury or was that the only one. At least use a double barrel shot gun for god sake.
