No guarantees and no guarantors for the RoC.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In the civilised world a city belonged to its legal citi-zens.

The country belongs to its citizens therefore this island belongs to TCs just as much as it does GCs, never forget that.

It belongs to all its people however each individual chooses to categorise themselves.

All of Cyprus belongs to its citizens. The north is occupied by Turkey.

You are right we occupy the north part of our country and you the south well done you are getting there, allbeit slowly.

 Really? You and who's army.

Come back, YFred. All is forgiven...

I will address the original post and not bother to read all the blah blah after it. The guarantees are based on international treaties and only the guarantor powers i.e. Turkey, Greece and UK can agree jontly to resciend such a treaty. Thus it is not up to the ROC parliament, the TRNC parliament or even the Christofias-Talat twins to rescind it. As simple as that.

Turkey trambled allover the Treaty of Guarantee, which in legal terms makes it null and void....

You'll probably find that it was in fact nullified in 1964 (if not earlier due to the TC led coup in Dec 1963) by the fact Turkey Napalmed Greek Cypriot villages!

Oracle,
You and many others will have to stop wishful thinking and study international law about how international treaties are nullified. Suppose the treaty for Turkey is nullified, what about the other two gurantors, are they nullified too? You see, you cannot make new laws as you please!!!

PS: Turkey bombed the Greek and Greek Cypriot armies in order to stop them attacking the Turkish cypriot positions and it was effective. One plane was shot down and its pilot parachuted down but the Greek Cpriots eho captured him tortured him to death. after 1974 the Ercan airport was named after him.

Elko, had you studied international law pertaining to treaties you would’ve quoted a relevant piece from a credible source to back the simplistic (read childish) one-line summation you’ve come up with here because its MUCH MORE complex than that… like HUNDREDS of pages and MULTIPLE LAWS over the decades complex!

Again, here you prove how UNEDUCATED you are when it comes to treaties because once a treaty legally ceases to be valid, it does so for ALL members concerned because it cannot possibly be the same treaty anymore can it???

A group of GC civilians get hold of the pilot that was napalming them and kill him, this could be understood, but whats your excuse when your army get 5 pows on their needs and machine guns them down whilst their hands are up.

Elko, you are shameless, to even mention such an event, you have no leg to stand on.

Treaty of guarantee, get in preserve the indepenabce, get out, this is the treaty. Its not get in murder, rape, usurp 37% of the island, occupy, colonize and station 40,000 troops there.

You can't have it both ways, now which is is going to be. Any treaty that was inplace was violated by Turkey.

The two faced, double standard, treachorous british were aiding and abbetting you, so the reneid (sp?) on their promise, whislt Greece was in the shits by the Americans and couldn't jack shit if she wanted to.

Like I said before you are a master of word play, BBB is your game, only you don't fool us as you do on C44 and many idiot TCs here.
