Wanted TC land by the sea

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Wanted TC land by the sea

Postby B25 » Thu Feb 18, 2010 5:14 pm

To make life easier for my TC compatriots, I thought I would help them with the sale of their lands.

An associate of mine would like to purchase TC land by the sea. Anything considered.

Even better, his law firm will even do all the work to get the TC land transfered.

This is a serious offer. PM me if you have something to go.

I've had it with all this hate stuff, I wonder if life outside of this forum is as bad as we make here. I don't know any Turks nor TCs so I cannot speak from experience, but my brothers seem to get on well with them and have no problems.

Now let me see those PMs

No! It is not! Not from my experience having spent time in both the North and the South. If it was anywhere near as bad as it seems to be here, I would have left Cyprus ages ago!

I advise any TC NOT to take up this offer (nothing personal B25) in doing so you will be voiding your right to compensation for the ROC depriving you of use of your land since at least 1974 and in the one case heard by the ECHR a TC won 500,000 euros in compensation. (and you are due this) and the return of her land.

IF you are considering anything like this please take Independent legal and financial advice first. Please do not be short sighted

Again nothing personal B25

None taken DTA, I never thought of it that way, you do have a point, however, people have different needs too. Maybe some can't wait until some 5 year ECHR case is heard. Anyway, the offer is there and genuine.

I was asked, I have asked, its up to you.

Fair play to you, and for what its worth I think GCs should be given compensation for the loss use of land since '74 as well as any settlement for the land itself whether that be return or what ever.

Out of interest did you or your family lose any land in the north?

My parents are from the Karpas region.

My grandfather had 96 donums there.

His house was demolished and someone built a villa on it.

we shall see what happens.

Karpas is lovely it is my favorite place on the island, although I have not been to the south.

My family are from pathos

I wish you luck in getting the land back or/and compensation for it. I have support for each individual who has lost their land through no fault of their own.

Out of interest does the ROC compensate in anyway GC refugees from the north?

would you/ your family want to exchange lands that you own in the north for land in the south?
