How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

DTA, don't worry I understood what you said. It is easily done.

Hope I answered your questions.

Are you in CY?

Cheers, Its just that GR seems hell bent on disrupting any decent conversation between GCs and TCs.

Nah Im London based.

out of interest why would you not take exchange of land in the south if it is of the same value? I am no way saying you should, just wondering why you would not.

Karpas is lovely it is my favorite place on the island, although I have not been to the south.

My family are from pathos

I wish you luck in getting the land back or/and compensation for it. I have support for each individual who has lost their land through no fault of their own.

Out of interest does the ROC compensate in anyway GC refugees from the north?

would you/ your family want to exchange lands that you own in the north for land in the south?

I wouldn't. But, even if I was, there is not enough land to be exchanged anyway, don't you agree?

The Truth is I really dont know, The figures of land ownership in 1960 are so different depending on who you ask (TC or GC or their respective officials) that I dont know if they would be enough to exchange?

Reh B25, bou eeseh reh?

Hope these prospective customers of yours will be paying the due amount of capital gains tax to the RoC Exchequer, not to mention getting on for 50 years of unpaid local taxes.

..... and hope we don't want to encourage under-accounting sales prices by dodgy, sticky-fingered, passings of carrier bags of Euros "under the table".

BC you crack me up man.

This will be handled by a law firm, and the numbers will be numbers. transfer cannot happen until taxes are paid anyway.

Let those that have this land come forward, we can trade.

cheers

Does there have to be a reason??

But if so, personal choice, sentimental reasons, location.

It is not JUST about values and money.

Would you sacrfice a member of your family for money, any amount ? (some nutters need not answer this). It comes down to the same thing.
