Karpas is lovely it is my favorite place on the island, although I have not been to the south.

My family are from pathos - It is Paphos (or Pafos)

I wish you luck in getting the land back or/and compensation for it. I have support for each individual who has lost their land through no fault of their own. - Thanks, same to you.

Out of interest does the ROC compensate in anyway GC refugees from the north? - No, not that I know of anyway.

would you/ your family want to exchange lands that you own in the north for land in the south? - No Idea, never asked them. I wouldn't with my share.

See my answer above in BLUE

SINCERE APPOLOGIES TO THE ARCHBISHOP. Happy now GR??

I can explain. He is picking up on the mis-spelling of Pafos (or Paphos) as 'Pathos'. Although 'pathos' is a word that is ideally suited to all things Greek!

Misspelling your family’s place of origin is unpardonable!

I can spell it quite fine in one of the two official languages of cyprus - which of course is Turkish .... Baf... there you go... Happy now?

But as I was talking to a GC I thought I would try to spell it (or a latin alphabet version of it) in the other official languages of Cyprus which of course is Greek. But of course as you pointed out I spelt it wrong.

I wouldn't. But, even if I was, there is not enough land to be exchanged anyway, don't you agree?
