Welcome to North Cyprus politics.

April 1991 my seat was taken at Ercan by a politician on a flight to London.

I protested by saying ''Even the GCs didnot treat us this bad''.

I was arrested, my passport taken away and thrown into jail.

When I asked why I am being arrested, I was told that I used a forbiden word ''GREEK''.

Following Monday I was taken to court and fined.

Now these two faced people are rushing across the border to get Cyprus Passports.

Since then I have refused to have their stamp in my passport

Turkish North Cyprus is a truely banana republic and I think most of my fellow TCs are unable to notice the difference between civilised world and TRNC.

They are blinded with amount of money they have recently made by illegally selling other peoples land and houses.

I am not saying that the GCs are angels.

Of course they have treated us inhumanly in the past but that was in the past.

Today, in TRNC consumers have no rights. Most of the shops displaying signs '' No refund''.

Hospitals are appaling, no medication and lack basic hygene.

My uncle is currently being treated in North Cyprus Hospital suffering from Alzheimer’s

Hospital run out of medication and today 16th of Feb 2010 he is chained to the bed. His human rights is being violated by the TRNC.

Hospital asked his elderly wife to supply medication from a private pharmacy.

This is the today's reality in North Cyprus.

I think people need to wake up and have look around and see how the whole world moved forward while they have taken several steps back.

If we ever have a settlement there is going to be a long road ahead for TCs

Why the TC police enjoy throwing people in an overcrowded jail is beyond me. Its like a fetish.
