You say that newspaper is a joke, well are they such a joke that they would publish something like that without evidence? Take them to court then and prove they are liars if you say they are... it doesn't matter who the newspaper benefits or is benefited from... facts are facts

Why would I want to take Ali Baba's "news" operation to court? It's not masquerading as anything other than the bollocks that it is. But then again, it suits many of the main players in Cyprus to keep the facts from the people. That way they can peddle myths about the bad guys on the other side and stay in power. The only news about Cyprus I would trust is what I can take off the wire from a reputable international agency supplied by trustworthy sources (mostly coming from just one GC and one TC journalist).

If you mean to tell me that you live in a 'place' that any newspaper can go on and publish faulse facts without any actions taken against them... then why do you even consider the fact that you can form a self-relied state of your own?

First off, I have no allegiance with the "TRNC" so wind your neck in on that. I reckon you just saw "Kyrenia" on my details and made a massively prejudiced - and inaccurate - assumption.

Secondly, of course newspapers in the north can publish what they like. As long as it upholds the Turkish state and flag you can go with any old nationalistic, racist, hysterical bollocks to be consumed as gospel by the moron expat carpetbaggers whose lips move when they read.

Palio ,
I have 4 passports ....[/b] and 2 ID's.

1.TRNC
2.Turkey
3.BRITISH
4.CYPRUS

The 2 passports are worth keeping and the other two aren't worth crap.! You are just wasting your money by renewing the crappy 2..!

I want to know why halil typed "Turkey" in lower case but "BRITISH" and "CYPRUS" in upper case. Is it because, subconsciously, he is embarrassed and wants to down play it? More importantly, hasn't he broken some law about insulting "Turkishness"?

I hope that explanation gives you better understanding as of I for myself have one,but still have the right to refuse to recognise RoC.

It gives us a better understanding of your self inflicted mental conditioning to survive in an illegally occupied military base. In your mind, you’ve had to invent all sorts of rubbish to justify to yourself all the abnormal and/or humiliating things you have to do as a citizen of a pseudo state.

It reminds me of the attitudes of Sao Paolo street kids who have a “good” justification for all the crimes they commit to survive each day. I can see a need for a huge rehabilitation program when the Turkish military is finally gone…

You’ll find that we only bully those who lie or propagate misinformation, and we always give them a chance to prove their claim before we let lose. We’re a pretty fair bunch.

A kind of Year Zero de-Turkification process to remind those who need it of where their allegiances should lie.

It does amuse me how the same people can be seen as die hard RoC supporters on Northern Cyprus forums if they post anything a tad 'factual' and, at almost the same time, be seen as sympathising with the Turks, Carpetbaggers and TCs, if they post anything on here that rubs anyone up the wrong way!

I find it much more entertaining to read about the sort of stuff this thread concerns on CY44! Where applying for and holding an RoC passport should not be taken to mean you 'recognise' the RoC - bleedin' hilarious!
