Yes hes doing a good job in the sense that he wants the army out.

but they want to have the trnc recognised that way they wont be a state in a state i dont think he waqnts to push the army out to re unite the land. he wants a second state in cyprus.

I fail to see where trnc falls into subject. when i say army i refer to the high-ranked generals in turkey. It's this generals that would never give up an inch of a territory to enter EU or any other diplomatic reason... after all they are army men. As for Erdogan pushing for recognistion of the north and so on i would find it only acceptable by a diplomatic politician.... What would the turkish history write about a politician that gave a part of military captured land without a fight? Hardliners are after all voters

Much as I love the TCs, at the moment I would find some difficulty stringing a sentence together containing the works Turkey and civilization, let alone award any prizes. There are many people in Turkey who are no doubt very civilized and quite sophisticated, Mr. Erdogan among them, but I fear they are heavily outnumbered at the moment.
Hence my tongue in cheek question posed in the thread title. Makes one wonder what the Spaniards are after.
