There's your scandal exposed...

In other words he is upset that the RoC refuses to sign away the occupied territory so they can play the pasha on OUR land and in our country!

he means turkey having a foothold in cyprus for ever via the good degree of self-rule for the TCs...i tried telling bi,r this is what turkey wants, control of the whole island and then after all the exchanges he proves me right...

what i expected out of you bir, is support for democracy, human rights and rule of law, and i do realise these are a strange phenomena in turkey, but from you is another story, having lived most of your life in oz...witnessing the past and the present...where in the '60 and '70 one couldn't speak their own own language out loud, eat continenatl food, or even enjoying a glass of wine...

the difference in attitudes from the then to today are miles apart...you were part of thios revolution, but it seems it has escaped you...pity

Talk is cheap,boomers...when a find a country with real democracy, human rights, and the rule of law,i would be happy to support it...You are not suggesting these things truly exist in Cyprus, are you???

I have been expelled from the RoC in 1963,left my beloved country in 1969...When i returned 40 years later I found my ancestral village rased to the ground, and turned into a pig farm...Forgive me if I am not rushing back to live in the RoC with their style of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law...I will take my chances with my own community if and when they have some degree of self-rule...You would do the same if you were in my shoes,GR!...

good night,boomers...It is not much better in Sydney tonight... :(

Not whilst Ankara administers an Apartheid system of segregation to oppress GCs on the grounds of their race.

You don’t even have a community left… you wasted it when you amalgamated with Turkey to form the illegal “TRNC”.

It was common sense that the first people to succeed in enosis with their “mother country” would also be the first to vanish!

Thank God you beat us to it…

Bir you are wasting your time these people do not have the capacity or the desire to reach a solution that will get rid of the TA, today announcement about the guarantees issue by the GCs has dropped like a bomb in the north the talks are doomed, this is not something you come out with if there is goodwill at the table obviously these GCs are lieing when they say they want a solution, the only solution they want is the one which gives them total control of the whole island and no TC safeguards.

I agree with you VP that these talks are doomed to fail. From what we see, I am sure you agree, both sides are demanding the impossible. What better way to reach deadlock. The staus quo will prevail with NO recognition.IMO.

firstly oz went through a cultural transformation that unfortunately left you behind...now i undestand as to why you do not fit in...

secondly, democracy, human rights and rule of law, in roc, might not be perfect, but it's a far cry to what it used to be...and getting better as we speak, continously evolving striving in meeting these gaols...

a non comparrison when it comes to the occupied areas...

you advocate in living with your "kind" when they achieve an autonomous self rule...and here is me thinking we are all cypriots...news for you bir...this will never happen as we discusced earlier, while in the clutches of turkey is a non starter...but then again, that might suit you, as vips keeps on reminding us you all turks...

you might want to re-examine the self rule attitude and how a solution is possible when turkey will be at the helm of such a notion...

greatly disappointed with you bir, to say the least...
