I thought and still do, think very highly of you Umit; but did you really think that solving the Cyprob was up to CF'ers? Hmm. Not a lot of people knew that!!!

No, Deniz but after all this time you'd expect some kind compromise. Just look where we are now, we're debating whether Makarios wanted Enosis or not! FFS! It's just absurd!

Believe me Umit, I do want to lash out sometimes, but perhaps us Cypriots/TCs are more liberal and respect each others differing views.

Makarios was a wily old fox. Different times he wanted different things. It depended which way the wind blew I guess. By the time he realise that what was desirable was not feasible, it was too late. The extremists took hold of Cyprus and here we are in this 'impasse'.

I don't want to be rude, but if the older generation cannot agree on basic historical facts and then move on. How will the next generation which has been blinded by one sided propaganda, ever relate and move on? I would of expected some of the older members to be able to agree on the basics.

Umit07 says GCs and TCs are fucked - thats something in common to build on which seperates us from Turks and Greeks, a stubborn trait that is truly Cypriot
