No, my dear. Your selective memory and saintly acts are not the whole truth. You and Gabira were at full blows by the time I had noticed, after a day away from the forum. It was the thread where you posted the photo of the GC soldiers with their last cigarettes, your wife's uncle I believe and Gabira ridiculed the smoking habits of the GCs and other more unsavoury matters, which were later deleted. I did not join in till much later in the heated exchanges and only when she became generally abusive wishing the Mehmetcik had not done such a half-hearted job with only killing so few GCs.

I don't know how she has manged to weave you into her web, nor do I care. You are a big boy and can take care of yourself. And I certainly do not need, nor have ever needed a knight in shining armour to ruin their 'good' name on my behalf.

So, pull yourself together, for old times sake, and despite your lunacies, I still love you like a brother.

Like I said, you knew very well why I reacted and you even defended this reaction at one stage because of what she said.

She has since apologised, and has stated that her comments were not personal, and she has also divulged her own family's story and suffering which causes her much more grief.

For me, her apology and her word is enough, and because I feel her pain, I am willing to cut her plenty of slack. I will not abuse that, and I hope you don't either. If you had any worth as a human being, then you would do the same.

You should just wipe the slate clean, knowing that she deserves a second chance, and she will surprise even you no doubt. If she makes anymore comments regarding the Mehetcik and the GCs, then we will counter it then, but until then just give her a fair go. Don't provoke her to react in ways you and we don't want. Maybe, she will also tell us about her family's story, when she feels comfortable. If and when that happens, just don't ask her for a link. Her word should be quite enough.

1) You have an incriminating post from me? Go ahead and post it. I have nothing for pride for my grandfathers activities in EOKA in 55 against the English and the TC's of Morphou have had nothing but praise for him for what he did for their work and their life.
Zalihe took over the house as soon as the invasion kicked my family out. She was thrown out by the "trnc" and a high ranking military man was set up there since it was by general acceptance the nicest and newest house in Morphou.
Zalihe didn't give up though and she took them to court and won the house back for her and her family. She died now and her sister's kids have my mom's house. Their entire family was employed by my grandfather and out of respect for him they never touched a single portrait on the walls, album, clothing etc. WHen we went back a few years ago they gave us all out personal belongings including my dads cello.


2) I've never called myself decent or educated. That's up to people who know me to judge whether I am decent. As for educated, well that's a never ending journey.

3) You boasted on a number of occasions here about the head of the TMT being in your house and once even blowing his hand up accidentally. You also said how close your father and family was with him. There was an atrocity reported in your area and you were asked whether your father or his friend had anything to do with it and refused to answer. Therefore you left everyone to his/her own assumptions.

As I said, if a TC of Morphou ever heard you saying the crap you've been saying on this forum about my grandfather, they'd strip you down and whip you.
