I don't doubt it. I haven't seen this particular building, but I have seen similar, and more than once. Telegraph poles in the middle of the road are not unusual. I have actually seen phone lines running through a house bedroom front window and out the back!! It's part of the mentality here and we love it. I think it's hugely funny, but then I am a Laurel and Hardy fan.
