Oracle is both stupid and stubborn - she likes the slanderous tone of the word "apartheid" but doesn't realise the deeply negative connotation refers directly to the actions taken by the GCs on the TCs particularly over the period starting 1963.
For those that wish to use the word apartheid in relation to Cyprus should look at the following definition:
Racial segregation in South Africa began in colonial times, but apartheid as an official policy was introduced following the general election of 1948. New legislation classified inhabitants into racial groups ("black", "white", "coloured", and "Indian"), and residential areas were segregated by means of forced removals. From 1958, Blacks were deprived of their citizenship, legally becoming citizens of one of ten tribally based self-governing homelands called bantustans, four of which became nominally independent states. The government segregated education, medical care, and other public services, and provided black people with services inferior to those of whites.
TCs were isolated from govt., from sports, from businesses, from grants and loans, from products, from civilian jobs etc. etc. etc. If you want to look at how apartheid in Cyprus started then simply look at the GC actions. The RoC continues to isolated us - now that is where the negative connotation of apartheid is relevant in its use. And as regards separation, the 1975 agreement was signed on population exchange with GCs allowed to stay in the north if they so chose.
So back to reality, the GREEK CYPRIOT GOVT has done NOTHING to facilitate the solving of the Cyprus problem.
