Personal Greek cypriot loses.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Personal Greek cypriot loses.

Postby DTA » Thu Feb 11, 2010 12:59 am

I made a promise to start a thread where we would explore (not sure if that is the right word) the losses of the Greek cypriot members of this forum.

when Posting could you please just stick to what happened to you and your family, please only use primary sources that you can validate 100%.

I am sure there is a lot of you that has lost a lot, and let me just state now that although I do feel the Turkish intervension was justified, I do not condone or try to excuse the kililng of one innocent GC or Rape or theft.

Listen I have said that I do not condone or try to justify the killing of one innocent. How can i make it more clear.

I am asking for the members of the GC community on this forum to tell us about their losses.

Please only talk of your personal experience otherwise this will descend like so many others in this forum.

I start this thread so the TC can understand the stance of the GC on this forum just as Pyro started this thread's forefather.

DTA,

I can tell you with all honesty that none of my family ever murdered a TC or to this day ever advocated enosis with Greece.

We are all however denied, to this day, access to our property in the village that my ancestors enjoyed for 1000s of years.

Thank you for contributing, and i am sorry for that, I hope that one day that you will be either be allowed to return if you so wish, or you are compensated. Have you been back to the village? where is it by the way?

DTA,

I would quite happliy have a discussion with you about this and I will speak for myself.

I will not deny the wrong-doings by my brothers as I hope that you will not deny the wrong doings of your brothers.

I resent accusations of genocide and domination levelled against the GCs as this is propaganda and a complete pack of lies.

As for my property in Ayios Epiktitos, compensation does does not even enter into the equation and I hope that we can all live in peace in the near future.

Thank you again, and I completely condemn the killing of any innocent GC. I also think that you should have the right to the land that you own.

I dont really want to get in to the genocide and domination issues in this thread because I truely want it to be thread for GC's to express their losses and help the TC on this forum to try to understand there stance which to us seems at the very least antagonistic. but I will start another thread with FAO me ed- so we can discuss these issues there.
