Paphitis wilth all due respect to the deadand their famalies but do you know how many people these GC "heros" killed before being killed?

These 5 CNG POWs were just maintaining their position along the Famugusta highway. No TCs were ever attacked within their area.

I would be surprised if these 5 POWs even killed one single Turkish soldier.

What is certain is the fact that these men lacked comprehensive military training. They were village conscripts.

I say this because they had the 'audacity' (bless their souls) to fire upon heavy Turkish Armour. They gave away their position and they were captured. I have very little understanding for their military thinking, but I believe that they are much more of a human being than I can ever be, because I can never do what they did.

VP, I request that you join me in honoring their memory along with any TCs that are also not with us today.

If we are human, then we would maintain a dignified outlook on our losses and safeguard our children from meeting the same fate down the track.
