American in Limassol

Postby Nate158 » Wed Feb 10, 2010 7:35 pm

I just moved here and have 2 questions.
1. Does anyone know of a good medical clinic in Limassol for non citizens?
2. Are there any good multicultural, liberal, or English speaking churches in Limassol?

There is Ygia Polyclinic http://www.ygiapolyclinic.com/ and a few other similar ones. Be warned that such places are very expensive. You can also use public hospitals, it doesn't matter that you are not citizen. You will just have to pay.

If by "church" you mean the actual building then most churches are Greek Orthodox and there is one Catholic Church at the sea road opposite the promenade. http://www.cypruscatholicchurch.org/limassol.php

There is an English-speaking Anglican church (St Barnabas) on Leontiou Street in Limassol.

for kurupetos, elabourating on question 2

What I meant by multicultural is I think self explanatory, people from many cultures. As for the English speaking, it doesn't have to be exclusively in English, but maybe a group or something that meets in English. The liberal part, hmm, my main thing would be them being ok with homosexuality, and not taking the bible as the literal, infallible word of God.
