Looking for an Explanation

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

i totally agree but in the event tc should not have the defence capability to protect itself?

"If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen." "You can't have your cake and eat it too," and all those other wonderful cliches that apply. How sovereign is a nation that can't protect itself?

Piece of pie now huh, from sweeties to crumbs to pie.

No more crumbs since 1974, only sweeties, and ... well ... pie is even more substantial. Don't you agree?

Nah…. turkey cant get any of that pie, its some diplomatic tit for tat,
bargaining ploy.
Maybe some-one who understands the diplomatic language can answer that one.
If you come across JustAnAmerican ask him about it. He's fluent in diplomat.

Really?

from pies to cakes, well i guess we can also be offered cake.

so a nation that cant protect itself is not a nation?
holland, belgium, france etc who could not protect themselves from germany were deemed what?
dont fully get your point here.

And yeah that is my opinion on the cypriot/Egypt thing – I can only suggest getting a better understanding from someone more acquainted in diplomatic manoeuvrings.

I said nothing of the kind, gabaston. I asked, "How sovereign is a nation that can't protect itself?" In other words, if to be sovereign means to be independent, then how sovereign is a nation that depends on another to defend it?

holland, belgium, france etc who could not protect themselves from germany were deemed what?
dont fully get your point here. [/quote]

They were deemed militarily dependent.

from pies to cakes, well i guess we can also be offered cake.

Are you sure? Remember Marie Antoinette?
