HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA

your great, please GCs cain this guy and restore some of my faith.

You know where you can shove your faith. You started a war against us and the result of this war can only be your complete defeat. It is only a matter of time and we will stop at nothing for winning this war and liberate our homeland.

Dear Soto.
Define 'stop at nothing'. What have we been doing since 1974, making sandwiches so we can picnic in Kerynia?
And I really hope none of you guys is actually serious about wiping out people based on their 'genes'.

Your backward brains are what we should target!

Well done Apostolides and Candounas...

Actually I am just kidding about the genes thing. But honestly I don't like it when the Turks pretend they are the all powerful ones and they can get whatever they want. We will sue their asses off. That is what we will do! Some years ago they started becoming richer by selling off the land they stole from us. We can have this reversed now! We can be very good in fighting a COLD war ;)

Yep, I'm with you on that one totally. I just don't like threats made that we have no intention of carrying out. Candounas did a very, very good thing and now it remains to be seen how it all plays out in practical terms.

Absolutely! That we will NEVER forget!

Actually what I think the RoC needs to do is remove all artillery, air force and armored troops from the NG and fall back to a purely light infantry solution, which is far cheaper and more effective in the event of some unlikely conflict.

And here you've just gone suicidal!

Not really. We wont have air superiority so most heavy guns we have will be sitting ducks if used. We do however have rough terrain and could run a guerilla war, as Turkey, if they move forward, will have to occupy terittory with the population in it. Genocide or mass arrest will be too much of a hot potato. If you compare the Gulf War part 1 and 2 you'll see what I mean. Besides, it's all supposed to be a deterrent. I don't mean to ditch heavy infantry weapons, like small to mid size mortars, short range AA missiles etc. The rest can go.

Look, I generally have no respect for anyone who attempts to undermine the CNG; either by suggesting a downgrade or with any kind of defeatist talk, because Cyprus’ ONLY guarantee is her National Guard so the stronger we keep it the better! Anything in the opposite direction is counterproductive and downright suicidal!

The Turks only know ONE language, and that is the language of violence so we should be ready to give it to them full blast at a minute’s notice and NEVER get caught out defenseless again like in July 1974!

PS: I forgot to mention that your military theories about “sitting ducks” etc, is a load of rubbish because you fail to take into consideration the CNG’s answer to the TAF which I won’t get into right now but have written about on many occasions.

So when did you do your National Service, GR? And, in the broadest terms, where? Green Line, Mechanised, Tanks, Artillery, Sem? Keep it vague, just to give me a clue.
And do you not think I have a right to my own opinion? No respect? Get real...

I think you will find that tubthumping patriotic rhetoric from both communities over the last half century has got us in the shit we are in today, not 'defeatist' attitudes.
And can you give me a v quick precis of your NG answer to the TAF please? I'm new, I didnt see it before...

Incorrect! It's the Greek & Turkish nationalism that caused all the problems so the sooner everyone switches to Cypriot Nationalism (as it should be) the better because treason obviously doesn’t work!

As for a link to my analysis, maybe tomorrow when I’ve got the time.

So that was a while back. It's all hi tech with planes these days. If you don't have air cover, you got problems with big pieces.
