BAN and TALAT met.........

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby boomerang » Wed Feb 03, 2010 1:19 am

i suppose the turkish proposals were seen as progress...since downer said nothing to the deviation from the road map of the talks...bbf and single identity...rather than 2 of this and 2 of that, a confederal plan...

I could be wrong but has downer critisized the turkish proposals?...

Why would Downer criticise any side, have you guys lost it? But than again who would lose it so you find it?
Shame you can't buy it!

It was Muhtar X who wanted to go back to the beginning, are you not following what is going on. They could have taken the Annan plan improved it and it would have been solved in 3 months. You guys are really asleep.

the rules set were a bbf with 2 states and a single identity...they were defined and all concerned agreed to it...so the negotiations started and were meant to follow these rules...but the turkish propsals fell outside these rules...

it's like saying the gcs now are proposing a unitary stare...would you find this acceptaple, coz we now we want to start from the start?

PS...start learning the difference between than and then...

actions spoke louder than words in this case...

Seriously speaking? A cheap trick is all it was, pissed off the UN more than it pissed us off.

you don't think it was a move pre-planned by the UN?....downer is a clown a well known fact in OZ, but stupid he ain't...

now ask yourself why such a move was planned so close to the orams ruling...

1...ban coming to cyprus
2...ban's movements in the occupied

I am asking myself, since Downer is on Turkeys payroll, he would do cheap tricks like this in diguise as helping the process. he is a con artist and is biased towards Turkeys side.

Desperate people take desperate measure and Downer and Talat did just that, except, he was forced to make a public statement about his fuckup.

Hasn't anyone clocked onto this yet? We need to watch him like a hawk.

His days are numbered.

Yours is a direct translation from Greek (metrimenes), but it needs a little idiomatic tweaking ...

NAMI: TURKISH SIDE DESIRES CONTINUATION OF TALKS UNTIL MARCH

The TRNC President’s Special Representative for talks with the United Nations and the European Union Ozdil Nami has said that the Turkish Side desired the continuation of the negotiations process until March.

Speaking on the evening news program on BRT 1, Mr Nami said that the timetable for future meetings between the two leaders will become clear in the coming weeks.

Pointing out that the two rounds of intensive talks had been productive, Mr Nami said that the Turkish Side had conveyed its desire to the Greek Cypriot Side to continue negotiations as long as the talks are productive.

He said that the Greek Cypriot Side had greeted this idea with reason and understanding.

Commenting on the UN Secretary General’s visit to the island, he said the Turkish Side had expected a more concrete statement from the UN Chief but that the Greek Cypriot Side had objected to this, claiming that it was too early for such a statement.

Mr Nami also said that convergence had been reached on the chapter of Governance and Power sharing with full agreement reached on some of the issues.

“However both sides agreed that a partial statement by the UN Secretary General before an agreement was reached on all the outstanding issues would not be beneficial” he added.
