phrases in cyprus

may be a silly question i went and bought a tourist guide for our up comming hols in cyprus in this guide it has got various phrases for different things but strangly enough it did not have any phrases for where is the toilet i would like someone to tell me this phrase because this is probly the one phrase i am most likely to use especialy after i have had a drink or 2 :oops: :D

Sorry, wasn't very helpful of me.

I don't speak the lingo here, but I'm sure one of the other forum members will help you out.........most Cypriots speak really good English so it's not a worry.

I do admire you for learning phrases before you come, good on you! Wish I had made the effort, feel guilty being here and expecting everybody to speak to me in English.

Im sure u will still have some problems in pronouncing it right but give it a try :)

fragile - Yiannis has given you the one you asked for, as a holidaymaker you will be in an area where English will be spoken but a few words of attempted Greek will always go down well. Its good to see you are prepared to at least give it a try.

I guess "signomi, pou ine i toualeta" is easier :wink:

By the way, the reason that most British people never learn Greek even if they lived many years here is because they didn't really have to.
Speaking English will be enough in the 99% of the places.
