The EU do not have an army and the UN are paper soldiers, I would not trust those guys to defend my life at all.

Plus you are 800.000 and get 950 soldiers and we are 250.000 and only get 650 there seems to be something wrong here dont you think?

Both sides have to do away with their armies.

Is Turkey disbanding her military? Let us know when she’s done…

How would Talat be in contempt of court? The judgement wasn't against him or the TRNC. It was against the Orams. The Orams will maintain that they did everything they could to comply.

"To prove contempt, the prosecutor or complainant must prove the four elements of contempt:

* Existence of a lawful order
* The contemnor's knowledge of the order
* The contemnor's ability to comply
* The contemnor's failure to comply."

Clearly, the first two elements apply, but element three doesn't and therefore neither does element four.

The Orams didn't have to apply for permission from the "trnc" to demolish the house ....

They should have just gone ahead and knocked it down. What could possibly have happened to them?

They might have been thrown into that prison. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

Planning permission is needed in TRNC for all sorts of construction work, including demolition. Such permissions are needed in most countries, including the UK and, no-doubt, RoC.
To deliberately demolish without permission would leave the Orams open to prosecution in the TRNC. I doubt the UK courts would expect anyone to comply with this in order to satisfy them.
We shall see.

I wonder which "expat-Brit"/carpetbagger will be the first to end up in a Turkish jail over there?

Interesting to see what the UK would do ....

There are already 1 or 2 Brits serving time here. These people were convicted of various crimes and the UK did nothing, not that they necessarily needed to. When they complete their sentences these people are usually deported.
