How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

After a lot of abuse and mug-flinging (and my retaliations against that which went my way), I realized that being on the forum wasn't doing anything more than giving ammunition to those who opposed my point of view. The forum - at least the part pertaining to the Cyprus Problem - has degenerated to a state to where proper debate on the Cyprus Problem has become impossible. I've made my point of view known, and to continue to push it is doing nothing more than providing certain members an excuse to defame, abuse, and threaten.

Therefore, I will be saying goodbye. To those who supported me, I thank you for doing so. To those who opposed me, yet supported my right to air my views, I thank you as well. To the others, I guess you'll have to direct your energies to some other person on the forum you happen to disagree with. I won't apolgize for my views regarding Cyprus as I'm still convinced I chose the right side.

I also want to thank those who had communicated with me in order to provide condolences for the loss of my son Jared, who died - after a vehicle crash had left him brain dead - last June. Needless to say, it has been very hard on my wife and I.

I leave this final note: I hope that the Cyprus Problem can eventually be solved. Goodbye.

Dean Thomas.

How did I miss this thread? Dean, you will not be missed and I will tell you why.
I am sorry to say this but you were mostly here to agitate so I am glad you are leaving the forum.
Learn that no one benefits from partition. Do try and have an open mind.
Liberty is incompatible and inconsistent with the “authority” in the north…I hope you can one day see this as well.
Barbarity of 74 must not go unpunished. I mean really, how would you feel about being kicked out of your home at gun point?
It is for this reason that I am very much pleased with the recent UK court's ruling, finally we see justice being served.
London delivered a landmark judgment with seismic implications for those who have invested in property illegally built on Greek Cypriot land.
Launching more legal battles and lobbying key allies may be the key to solving the refugee plight.
You are fully aware that freedom is sacred. May the occupation end soon and people live and work where ever they please.
