"Lambron na se kapsei" =May Fire be fallen on you (word by ord translation) which however is used in meaning "you are such a useless person".

Here's a funny story:
When I was at 1st grade primary school I used to always get zero (out of 10) in dictation.
Then one day i got 3 (out of 10). I was so happy, because I thought 3 was a good grade.
I went home so cheereful and showed my grade to mom.
"Lambron na se kapsei" she said

Which is still better than being a "vosgo shillo" I suppose.

Not as bad as being vromo vosko shillo

You keep mentioning Talisker in the third person (more frequently than he himself seems to post!!)...is he your alter ego?? :-D

No, my dear Paphitis. I mention everybody in the third person who is NOT me when I discuss them! No doubt, out of my thousands of posts here, you may well find I've mentioned for example, Tim more than ten times, or Denizaksulu more than a thousand times, or Viewpoint more than a few hundred times. Are you proposing all these people are my alter egos?

Scientific you are NOT ... Carry on reading Epictetus; you have along way to go to reach illumination

Last time we shared some exchanges with dear Paphitis (whilst he was going off his rocker) I suggested he go off and read Epictetus (the Stoic philosopher) to gain illumination. Paphitis disappears off the seen and up pops Epiktitos ... Bingo!

A few "other" things give him away.

Sorry for my homonym ... I've been pirouetting all morning and both my brain cells are knotted up ...

Yes there was a Saint of that name. Is the spelling the same, or are we talking homonyms again? Something to do with the transliteration from eta and iota to "e" and "i" ....
