Where have I been derogatory? Take back this false, unfounded accusation. It is you who advocates preventing Cypriots from returning to their homes because they are Christian. Why are you being derogatory about people?

We are all settlers whether in UK or Cyprus. People have been moving around the planet ever since the time begun.

All Cypriots in the UK are legal, arriving as British subjects in the post-war period or as refugees.

It is a fascistic though of protectionism that sees people moving to make a living as settlers. It is sickening to humanity that we are unable to accept that people move around to have a better life.

There are legal and illegal ways to migrate. Get down off your high horse. It is you who would prevent Cypriots returning to their ancestral homelands in the north of their island.

Cypriots did the same in the since the fifties. Stop this stupidity of attacking anything Turkish, it just moves us further apart. Unless of course it is your intention.

I totally agree with you; having spent nearly all my life working in many different countries to make a living. Why I asked the question was very simply to show that Viewpoint hates with inherited hatred and I can’t really understand that. I have worked with many, many different nationalities over the years and the common denominator has always been we are all trying to feed our families and give them a better life and I don’t believe the majority of Greek or Turkish Cypriots are any different from the rest of the world.
When I was a kid we were frightened to death of the Russians, as it was indoctrinated into us that they were going to invade Western Europe and drop nuclear bombs on to our cities. When I got older I had the opportunity to work into what was once the old Soviet Union and surprise, surprise the people there were told exactly the same thing. Now whether VP really believes his /her own propaganda I don’t know but as I keep emphasising he (I’ll say he) has never experienced what you, Bir, Zan or Deniz experienced and that is where he loses his credibility to me. He and I shared exactly the same experiences relating to the troubles in Cyprus; absolutely none; he was in London and I was in Liverpool at the time.
