Turkish Cyprus pins property hopes on 'Rich arabs'

The ‘minister’ of economy and energy in northern Cyprus has said that property developers are now hoping rich Arabs will help save the collapsed property sector.

Sunat Atun has stated that wealthy Arabs might purchase villas in the occupied areas of the Republic of Cyprus.

Under the banner headline “Hope from the Gulf”, the Kibris refers to statements made by Sunat Atun regarding his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

He noted that their visits to the Gulf states will continue and that the volume of trade between the north and these states will increase this year.

The paper reports also that Ayse Donmezer, chairwoman of the Cyprus Turkish Investment Development Agency (YAGA), who was participating in the Turkish Cypriot delegation during to Oman, said that wealthy Arabs might purchase summerhouses in the occupied areas of Cyprus.

I doubt it’ll come from that direction as most Arabs hate Turks in general because they consider them the “fallen Muslims” who kiss American arse and they’re not wrong!

Most Arab countries also have very good relations with Cyprus due to our steadfast support of Lebanon and Palestine, so even if one Arab criminal individual or company were to be found doing anything like that a quick phone call to his government by the RoC would quickly sort it out.

Unlike Turkey, Saudi Arabia adheres to the Muslim code very strictly.

"TRNC" attempts to hoodwink wealthy Arabs – as though they were gullible, greedy Brits – is an insult to Islam.

No doubt such attempts to defraud their Islamic brothers will be brought up at the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

How I'd love to be an "observer" when this swindle is discussed by the 56 country-membership who (according to its charter) is determined to adhere to the principles of the United Nations Charter, International Law and the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
