The UK has some pretty distinctive accents. The Geordie, Brummie, Scouse, Bristol and Yorkshire all have strong dialects. Is this the same in CY??

Can someone from Paphos recognise if someone is from Nicosia for example?

In Nicosia, we could easily tell the Paphians apart. Especially those from Istinjo and Houlou/Hulu.

No prob recognising those from Gallinoporni and Lurucina. They couldnt speak Turkish without reverting to Greek.

We could recognise the speech of the Kophiniotes, because they ended all their sentences/phrases ( well most) with reh. I lived there for three years but was not allowed to pick it up though. It may have died out by now as they have now moved north. Its in the water you see.
