Cyprus Breaking News: Orams house 'will not de demolished'
Hasan Ercakica, spokesman of the Turkish Cypriot leader, has stated that the administration in northern Cyprus will not implement the decision of the British Court of Appeals regarding the Orams case.
He also called on Greek Cypriot refugee Meletis Apostolides to file an application to the ‘Immovable Property Commission’, set up by Turkey in the occupied areas of the island, if he wants the return of his property.
Ercakica noted that in addition to the legal support they offered to the Orams couple, they will provide to them any kind of help in order to make them feel less the influence of the lawsuit.
Ercakica reiterated that they are determined to show that the decisions of this court are not applicable in northern Cyprus.
“The decision of this court, including the demolition of the house, the return of the property and everything like that, will not be implemented in northern Cyprus. Let the court itself find the way of implementing this decision. If Apostolides wants the return of his property, let him apply to the Immovable Property Commission.”
Meanwhile, the Orams couple continue to collect their belongings from the house.
In an interview with the daily Halkin Sesi newspaper, the Oramses said they are packing their belongings in order to be able to act immediately and move out of the house according to instructions by their lawyers.
They added that the information published in the press that they have moved out of the house was not true.

I wonder if this guy Ercakica has any assets, and everything like that, in the UK?
