well i know you can install mac os on a pc if you use hackint0sh its not official but can be done, i have not been able to install it on my test laptop due to not knowing what drivers to install..

but its so very different i have used macs in the stores public and in england while i was there, it was like i had never touched a pc with mac its easy to use but you just have to figure out where everything is and the more i research the programs the more i like the ones on the mac more then pc, so after many times of trying to install mac os x on my laptop i figure also its 7 hour battery life i could use it in college.. imo it seems to be very good. and if i hate it i can sell it on ebay or in cyprus. here we have the old macbook pros for 2,500 they try ripp us off :/

Certainly enjoyed my macs over the years. A bit life-changing sometimes. But couldn't handle pissies. Just spent an hour with a remote pissy based connection and have a headache.

Anyone got any experience of "tethering" , that's using the Iphone as a modem to connect a lap-top to the internet over 3g?

Here in GB, O2 want an extra £10 a month fee for this as a bolt-on, over and above their standard monthly contract price, even though we signed up for unlimited internet access over wi-fi and over 3g with the monthly contract, but, as ever there seems to be ways of avoiding this unfair charge, which is aimed, by the way, only at iphone users.

There's a bit about it here ....

iPhone has inbuilt tethering in the software, but am interested in avoiding the unfair extra tethering charge by using a workaround.
