i wouldn't want to imagine the failure rate on this one as the iPhone is the most returned mobile for repairs on the market...also anyone know the battery life on this one?...another short fall of the iPhone that might be carried across to the iPad...

i would rather, and got a netbook, 10.1" screen with all the addons and best of all only cost me US$250...built around the INTEL reliable Atom chipset and runs fine...cheaper than iTouch...

battery life in excess of 2hrs, 160GB HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth, SD Reader, descent querty keyboard, 3 USB ports, 1GB of Memory, 3G port ready, touch keypad and a cover on the screen...

thats not enough for me 1GB of ram or 160Gb hard drive...

I need 3Ghz processor 500GB+ of drive 4GB plus of ram 2 or more usb ports wifi bluetooth of course.. qwerty keyboard the ipad you can attach one to it// but for me it does not have enough to replace my computer nowhere near enough.. but for some who might only use forums check their email and not do much it could easily replace it.

i might get it as a traveling ipad so i dont have to carry around my laptop.. but my laptop is 15inch and even 13 is too small for me for a laptop.

im thinking either a imac or macbook pro 15 inch

Battery life of 10 hours is promised.

Speaking of battery life, anyone got any experience of back-up plug in battery packs for the iPhone?

Yes go search on www.ebay.com Just gum pro 2

well here is the link:

I don't recommend buying any other sort of charger for iphone especially the ones that combine with your phone. It makes it too bulky.

The one im using the gum pro 2 can charge your iphone 3 times. Excellent for its price. Did a lot of reserch to come across this one.

Yeah I know Boomer, I would of thought it would have been a lot more than a large ipod touch though. :?

The only thing I want to get myself this year is a Wacom Cintiq 20WSX. I've wanted one for years, and the latest ones are like a dream come true!

I was so gutted when I weighed up the amount I spent last year with the such little I had to show for it.

That's why I can't let myself get sucked into Apples PR! Need to stay focused on the Cintiq... 8)

The jailbreaks look naff compared to Apples pristine OS....and all those adverts...

What adverts? :O

When I had my iPhone, not even a jailbreak could make it run more than one app at a time. Is it different now?

And the program I used to jailbreak it changed my phone completely. For instance, it added this thing to my phone where I could press a certain part of the screen and have all the apps pop up. It just looked cheap and tacky, and it was totally useless!

Plus everytime I wanted to download apps I had to use this app which was full of adverts and made my phone crash a lot! It wasn't a very stable phone when I had it, maybe its different now, but I'm over the whole iPhone craze...
