Apple's New Baby - The iPad

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

You lose Apples charm once you jailbreak the iPhone. The jailbreaks look naff compared to Apples pristine OS....and all those adverts... :?

It should be able to do all that without having to put its OS through some cheap cosmetic surgery. And the one app at a time "rule" is what kills it for me...

But Palio! Windows Mobile is EVIL! Have a look online and read the horror stories!

Can someone, please, tell me in plain English what this thing does?

I've just been asked for one by my son and it seems cheaper than the other option he requested.

Thanks

i will tell you what it is in tourjoika ;p

No but really go to this website www.apple.com\ipad and look at it there is a video, its basically a large ipod touch it comes with 16 32 and 64GB of memory you can attach a keyboard to it and its had 1Ghz processor and no camera for some it could easily replace their day to day laptop or pc and it looks very good, its not going to be rleased until march for the wifi only and then april for wifi and 3g if you use 3g you can pay for a 3g connection and i dont know what plans they will have in england but in america i think it will be 30 dollars per month for unlimited internet usage and data tranasfer..

it looks very good to me and i might get one with a new iphone and imac :)

you could describe it as a mini pc but it lacks features and has no usb and other cables that the normal pc might have..

some say they will wait for another version of the ipad to be released but i am going to go and play around with it when apple offer it in the stores

Never buy the first line of products when they come out. 60% of the time they come out with problems. Always wait 2-3 months for the next dispatch.
