Now thats what I'm talking about...

I don't know if I could bring myself to buy another HP product though. They're soooo unreliable, and HP's customer services is so shiyte!!! Selling people laptops they know will have problems a year on, after the warranty has ran out...

At least it's a lot more functionable than the iPad. Love the camera, SD slot etc..but wondering how responsive that screen is. The flicking through the albums didn't look very fluid to me...

Not quite....

As we have reported in the past the HP Slate will run $549 in its base configuration, which has a 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive multitouch display, a 1.6GHz Atom Z530 processor with UMA graphics and an accelerator for 1080p video playback (we’re assuming it’s a Broadcom Crystal HD chip), 32GB of flash storage and 1GB of non-upgradeable RAM.

There is also a new version $599 with 64GB of storage, and both models will have a five-hour battery, an SDHC slot, two camera, a USB port, a SIM card slot for the optional 3G modem, and a dock connector for power, audio, and HDMI out.

It looks like for software it will be running an off-shoot of the Windows 7 platform. HP has also partnered up with Adobe which means you will see great support for a full multi-media internet experience. You will also be able to multitask on this device.

That sounds a lot more reasonable. You could double, maybe even triple the memory using an SD card.

It all depends on that screen for me. If it's as responsive as Apples it'll be worth it. As for software, I've been using Windows 7 since getting my Vaio and I love it!!

I'm hoping Sony will jump on the bandwagon...I'd love to see a Vaio tablet that matches HP's...I would DEFINITELY buy that!

As to the iphone's tiny screen. Well almost all my postings to CF have been done on an iPhone in recent months. So don't have a problem with the small "keyboard" but then again have slim fingers. Would be a problem for those with big Neanderthal Paphian digits ...lol.

While you are there try I-rack and I-ran.

enjoy you pushdo englezzo charlui.
