Feel free to tell us the "other side" of the story - your side, if you will - even if it also has not been "proved".

in a year or two, if the impasse continues, do go back to your posts to see if you've grown, you will be surprised.

...many of us have.

the turks stopped at nicosia by the way because going further would have exposed them to a fight they could not have won. the result they have is a colony which can never be anything else. fortunately, as we have seen with the case of the Orams, international politics has not corrupted the Principals of Justice that States (rather than Governments) hold dear.

if you have the courage, think, and remember the world has changed so much from that time in the sixties when niggers hung from trees even in a great country like the USA. our responsibility as "greeks" and as "turks" is to act against the Ignorance which is not the exclusive domain of any ethnic origin. your family suffered, so too so many others, but it was not in vain if in your heart there is the Grace to say, i choose to be a loving person, i embrace the change which i must make within myself to overcome fear.

whether you are a believer in God or not, there is the way; we should never forget that.

...so, it's not the tosh of one side or the other, it's just tosh.

However, as long as there are posters like some on this forum, who resort to name calling, insults, and posting with no logic or credibility, then the situation in Cyprus will not change for a long time.
are you referring to VP , Yfred and Expatwiki?

Have a read of what your ancestors did for sport:

Bet you can't wait for that memorial to be built out Fairfield way!

Shit happens in war. That is only one side of the story and has not been proven by any one. Turks are not good at propaganda or lobbying governments.

No they just get the army in and overthrow them!

Ignorant pig.

Now this is what i call a heart warming post...the kind that gives me hope! I think i shall continue to post, because knowing that there are people who want peace and who want to move on, is a wonderful feeling. I would love nothing more than to reach out to my fellow Cypriots on the South side, and shake hands with a mind to living together once again...it used to happen....and i am a firm believer that it will again. My heart may be pure (and perhaps arguably 'niave') but i will remain strong, and WILL NOT be put down by the hardliners that can do nothing but spew venom, without any real credence. I look forward to receiving more education..and perhaps more understanding...

thank you.

Excuse my madam, are you now playing doctor Jeckel mr hyde??

Just read your opening post and do tell us where you mean ".. I would love nothing more than to reach out to my fellow Cypriots on the South side, and shake hands with a mind to living together once again.."

You came on full of venon, insulting, and rude and then you had the cheek to accuse others of it when you didn't like the reply. Now you are playing angel???

You have already shown your true colours madam. ha you come on with this post you would have had all the respect, but you failed, good luck, because we know what you are really about now.

Oh, and look out for RP, he is the riddler.

Have a nice day you little liar.

Daisy May wrote:Really, what a load of old bloody tosh you lot spout!! Honestly...do you really really believe that the turkish army just woke up one day and thought...'hmmm, what shall we do today...oh, i know, lets invade Cyprus and eliminate some Greeks'!!

I don't think so!! If you lot weren't so damned greedy in the first place, the turkish army wouldn't have had to intervene in the first place!!

I agree atrocities did occur...but you lot weren't so sqeaky clean either...you did just as much savaging...so please stop whining on about how hard done by you are, it's like listening to a schoolyard bully crying to his mama coz the little guy stuck up for himself, and actually hurt you!!

I realise it is only a handful of you...constantly moaning on and on...but you make it sound like every single person that uses this site agrees with you...well, quite obviously it isn't, there are only about 10 of you spouting lies and propaganda, it's almost as though you are getting paid for spending hours upon hours of keeping your venom alive!!

Just face the facts...your version of 1960's history is sketchy to say the least, maybe it's because if you admitted what you did to the turks in the first place, your arguments would be belly laughed at, and that wouldn't get any of your land back!!

The only thing the turks can blamed for, is becoming complacent, and believing everyone would be able to move forward...they made their point....in fact the fact that they only went as far as nicosia, shows great restraint on their part!!

As for this Orams ruling, yes the battle has been won, but the war is far from over.

Please don't bother to bombard this post with tons of copying and pasting of your biased opinions...it doesn't impress anyone...it just shows your inability to search for the REAL truth!!

I would like to finish by saying, that i do not tar every user of this board with the use of spiteful vitriolic and downright lies and propaganda that the very few you do!!

I wonder how much you get paid for spending every waking hour at your computer spouting all this crap!! Maybe i could get one too :)

B25...i hate repeating myself..it wastes time...but here goes anyway, just for you.
If you read the post again, you will see that i was simply having a written moan about all the whinging you people do, and how tired and boring you are...with no mind to working towards something useful!! But then this seems to be the order of the day for some of you...too busy cutting people down to understand the bottom line.
