Having just waded through 22 pages on this thread I now have to tackle 20 pages of the TRNC flag/avatar thread - what a life!

To clear up all misunderstandings, precisely how were the Emails/letters signed?

Only one letter was sent out. The first. The others are personal and illustrative, for forum members to use as they choose. It's all clearly laid out in my posts. The first was signed Cyprus Forum Members; as in, more than one, as I was grateful to have had bill cobbett's full endorsement.

Not at all.

By analogy, it's no different to a letter sent to the Football Association (FA) from a group of Derby County season ticket holders. It neither indicates in any way that the letter represents the official Derby County Football Club itself, nor does it indicate that all 20,000 or so season ticket holders have endorsed the letter. It is what it is. And no one at the FA would think otherwise.

Moreover, there are no views contained in the letter, just a series of established legal facts. Eloquently expressed, by dedicated members, they do nothing but enhance the reputation of your forum, as a source of knowledge on Cyprus matters. Only someone benefiting, directly or indirectly, from organised crime (and their apologists) can possibly object to such legal facts; as is shown by who actually objected on this thread.

It is they who will one day be investigated and may have to stand trial.

I rest my case.

A couple more points for consideration by CF members (who are in no way representative of the Cyprus Forum officially, nor can they be seen to represent ALL CF members, especially not certain lowlifes who endorse organised crime) with contacts in the RoC tax office and department of employment:

• have organisations operating in the 'TRNC' accounted to the Republic for any tax?

• have they complied with the Republic's employment laws as regards, for example, employing illegal immigrants?

If not, presumably judgments of the Republic's courts against such organisations on these matters are enforceable against such organisations elsewhere in the EU?

Of course, we're not talking here about ordinary TCs, who may have been displaced themselves and were just trying to get by. We're talking about deep-pocketed, exploitative multinationals. One in particular springs to mind initially...

Perhaps, your Muhtario Xo, could begin negotiating that in the next 100 years. You are havin a laugh aren't you, what's wrong with the TC tax office and all that, they can write too in a fashion. They stopped using tablets with lines on them last year.
You are fast joining the plonker brigade on the forum. Tread carefully.

The law is non-negotiable, YFred. If a judge sentences you to five years' imprisonment, you can't say "make it three, and I'll go quietly".

Of course plea bargaining is another matter. This can be discussed before the trial.

It is not recognised by the RoC, which has jurisdiction over the whole of Cyprus.

I am pointing out the law. If this makes me a plonker to you, then you, like the "TRNC", are a law unto yourself.

If Muhtar X came up with that idea. The talks will stop. Change the medication, it's effecting your judgement.
We have had 2 seperate economies since 1963, you are bolting the door 47 years after the horse has bolted, too late as old Fucellean used to say.
Can you get back to more realsitic suggestions please.
