Nice to see someone brave enough to show their true colours.
And once the last TC has left Cyprus (which is what you no doubt want) and everyone in the TRNC is a mainlander (which is not what you'll want), you'll see if they want to play ball with you, or just stuff the bat up your arse. :D

It doesn't take any bravery to admit the obvious, just like it doesn't take any bravery to admit that Greek Cypriots were forcibly driven from their homes at gunpoint in a shameless act of ethnic cleansing whose ultimate goal was the illegal and illegitimate partitioning of the island.

As for the north being filled with mainland settlers, this is only possible if economic conditions encourage mainlanders to migrate and settle there. Trade creates wealth, if the RoC cuts off the tnucland's trade lifeline, then the tnucland will defacto be a poor distant turkish province, and hence not likely to attract settlers seeking to improve their economic situation.

As a tnucland resident, you need to ask yourself if you want to live there as the economy is gradually strangulated, the best and brightest TCs take up residence across the EU, and in their place arrive the poorest, most marginal, and most retched villagers from the mainland. If this doesn't sound like a pleasant scenario, you'd better get on board with a viable solution!

@Vaughn

you seem surprised that we are trying to affect the trashcan economy. How else would you get a giant out?

Let me ask you this, what did the british to to Afxentiou when they wanted to get him out of his hiding place????

Well, I'll save you the agro, they burnt him out. So as we are not strong enough to remove this cancer we need other methods. Herein is the economies. In war it is better to wound the enemy than to kill. Put the pressure on the governments to surrender.

Hey presto! if we keep screwing the trashcan economy the pressure will grow on Turkey until she just dumps them all.

Now do you geddit!

Stop the talks, close the crossings, all good stuff, helps with the strangulation. Turkey ain't never going to give up anything easily, ain't never going to abide by international rules human and democratic rights for all, so really we have nothing else to lose have we.

So in summary, we have no other choice, the TCs/Turkey have forced us down this road, don't blame us for self defence, we have no other choice.

Just listen to the many GC haters here, I could name them, but you know who they are, if they are representative of the TCs as we are told, then we have made the right decision.

Have a nice day and see you in the spring.

Well done, Sherlock. Fancy a job as a private detective in the north?

Start by posting address details of banks and other multi-nationals operating there on this site. Cheers.

LETTER TO SEND HSBC IF YOU BANK WITH THEM

Dear Sir or Madam

We have been customers of HSBC for ... years.

As decent, law-abiding citizens, we expect organisations that we deal with to have full respect, wherever they operate, for legitimate laws and for the rights of people.

We were therefore surprised to learn that HSBC has a business presence in the self-styled 'TRNC' in the northern part of Cyprus.

Presumably HSBC is aware that the 'TRNC' area has been illegally invaded, occupied and settled by Turkey. The vast majority of the property in that area belongs to Cypriots displaced by Turkey, in violation of their human and property rights.

Under international law the 'TRNC' area remains the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. Moreover, as recently affirmed by the European Court of Justice and the UK Court of Appeal in the high profile Orams case, the judgments of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus over its entire territory, including the 'TRNC' area, are enforceable throughout the EU.

Obviously, any organisation operating in the 'TRNC' is now particularly vulnerable to financially and reputationally damaging litigation if it has violated the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and the property or other rights of displaced Cypriots. Judgments obtained in a Republic of Cyprus court can be enforced against the organisation's assets across the EU.

We trust that in operating in the 'TRNC', HSBC has taken care to ensure that:

• it is in full compliance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Cyprus, as the legitimate and internationally recognised local authority;

• it has not infringed the property or other rights of Cypriots displaced from the 'TRNC' area; and

• it has not provided banking facilities to those who have benefited from such infringement.

We furthermore trust that HSBC has taken the requisite care not just because of fear of litigation and adverse publicity, but because it is a responsible regulated institution that puts doing the right thing above all other considerations.

Hopefully you can confirm to us that our trust in you is well founded.

We look forward to hearing from you before deciding what further action to take.

Yours faithfully
