Expat property ownership to remain in the name of the TRNC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Expat property ownership to remain in the name of the TRNC

Postby Viewpoint » Sun Jan 24, 2010 10:48 pm

New ways are being discussed to counter the Orams decision and protect Brits and other foreign buyers from losing their investments in the TRNC.

Builder is the TRNC

Owner of the land TRNC

Building owned by the TRNC

Rented by the TRNC

Something is a brewing and the GCs aint gonna like it. It will make resolving the property issue even more complicated.

Here's some advice. The only way you can protect the Brits and other foreign "trespassers" (not buyers, they haven't bought anything, merely been conned out of their money by crooks) is if they were to relinquish all assets and interests in the EU, and become fugitives, living permanently under the protection of the gangster regime. This will be particularly difficult for multi-nationals like HSBC.

If worse comes to worse European Arrest Warrants could be issued for TC politicians who represent the “TRNC”! I find that much more effective to bringing an end to this charade!

Your response is a total waste of time.

By mid 2010 you're going to see the ugly side of the Republic, and it’s not going to be pleasant…

If a court in the Republic of Cyprus were to issue a warrant for the arrest of Talat then he would have to be arrested if ever he stepped foot in any EU country. So he'd better not break any RoC laws.

According to the Orams ruling an EU member state cannot refuse recognition of a judgement made in Cyprus and that judgement cannot be denied on the grounds that, as a practical matter, the judgement cannot be enforced in Cyprus.
