The Perfect Cyprus Wedding ....

Postby Oracle » Sun Jan 24, 2010 10:20 pm

We know more and more couples are choosing Cyprus, the Island of Love, for their perfect Wedding Day ... 8)

But, given that most of us here are married (some twice + ), or hankering after getting married ... how would you describe your perfect (fantasy?) Wedding Day?

Maybe you are one of the lucky few, who has had the Perfect Wedding Day ... :D

At a lovely place perfect spring condition with the smells of fresh flowers in the air.

Anyhow most people out there don't have a perfect wedding because most of them think the wedding is more like a small busness. More people you invite the more money you might get.

I'm the guy who is going to just invite the most important people in my life.

I attended a huge wedding for a Limassol couple at the Monte Caputo. I was told that there were more than 3000 guests throughout the day and evening. It reminded me of one of those long dinner do's at a cabaret nightclub! Lots of people didn't know a soul apart from those on their table. I think the whole of Limassol was invited.

I attended a much smaller one for my next door neighbours a couple of years ago (only 800 guests) local church and then celebrations into the night at the place behind Kolossi Castle. Have to say it did strike me as a real 'Fairytale Wedding' - dancing and dining in the moonlight with the Castle lit up as a backdrop.

But they are a very well loved couple of GCs and I am sure the atmosphere at that wedding would have been just as good wherever they held it.

when each person usually puts 50 euros or more in the envelope you would invite the whole of cyprus ;p and usually the people who get married here invite everyone the whole village and we get so many invitations in the post EVERY DAY more in the summer of courser and september time and i dont know 99% of the people that send invitations.

Mine would be a traditional cypriot wedding where we have the close relatives come during the day and then onto the church and then to a restorant/hotel maybe 4 seasons or somewhere high class. and then after that hire a ferrari and go to a presidentual suite somewhere like hawaii or somewhere exotic. :D

1st class all the way..

yup 100-200 people is enough. So you can all have a good time.
